Challenger Widebody Shaker
While this is an appearance package that impacts the interior and exterior of the 2020 Dodge Challenger, there is a key feature of this package. Since the widebody Challenger was introduced for 2018, there has never been a factory option to pair the widebody package with the Shaker hood. That changes with the 50th Anniversary Edition, as shown here on the car painted Gold Rush.
More importantly, the first widebody Challenger with a Shaker hood is packing the 485-horsepower, 392-cubic inch Hemi. The Shaker hood doesn’t work with the supercharger setup of the Hellcat, so the most powerful Shaker car you can get is the Scat Pack with the 392 Hemi.
50th Anniversary Details
On the outside, the 50th Anniversary Edition package includes the matte black hood with a body-colored Shaker scoop (not including the GT models that don’t have the Shaker scoop), badges in the new “Gold School” gold-chrome finish, wheels in the same Gold School finish, 50th-anniversary logos in the illuminated air catcher headlights, Gold Rush painted Brembo brake calipers and Challenger 50 badges.
On the inside, the package begins with black sport seats wrapped in leather and Alcantara suede. These seats have Sepia stitching and that contrasting stitching is carried throughout the cabin. The package also adds unique gauges with a special start-up screen, unique floor mats, and the 50th-anniversary logo embroidered on the seatback. Finally, each 50th Anniversary Edition Challenger has a unique badge on the passenger’s side HVAC vent that calls out the exterior color and the sequence number of that vehicle out of the 70 like it.
Pricing and Availability
Again, the 50th Anniversary Edition package is available on the 2020 Dodge Challenger GT RWD, R/T Shaker, Scat Pack Shaker, and Scat Pack Widebody Shaker. We have focused on the Scat Pack Widebody Shaker because it is a new configuration, but the package details across the Hemi-powered models are basically the same. The Scat Pack Widebody Shaker has wider wheels and tires, but the other aspects of the package – including the interior and exterior upgrades – are shared across the lineup. This package is available in seven exterior colors – Gold Rush, Frostbite, Hellraisin, Sinamon Stick, TorRed, F8 Green and Go Mango. There will be 70 of each color made in each trim level, leading to a total of 1,960 50th Anniversary Edition Challengers being produced in total.
For the Challenger GT RWD, the 50th Anniversary Edition package costs $4,995 while the package on the Hemi models costs $5,995.
