THE MERCEDES-AMG GT R AND THE NISSAN GT-R. TWO VERY DIFFERENT CARS, BUT PUT THEM AGAINST ONE ANOTHER, AND THEY’RE ACTUALLY SURPRISINGLY SIMILAR!

The Mercedes-AMG GT R is powered by a 4.0L V8 engine, producing 577BHP and 520LB-FT of torque. The car can accelerate to 60MPH in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 198MPH. The 2010 model of the Nissan GT-R has a 3.8L V6 engine, which produces 485BHP and 434LB-FT of torque. The car has a 0-60MPH time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 193MPH, so these cars are actually incredibly suited rivals!

From a standstill, the 4-wheel drive traction from the Nissan beats the Mercedes-AMG off the line in a drag race. The additional power in the Mercedes-AMG allows the car to pull away from the Nissan once the cars are up to speed. There is little to separate the two though, as the Mercedes completes a 1/4 mile in 11 seconds, whereas the Nissan completes it in 11.1 seconds.
